Match days and concerts

Big nights out, quiet nights after

Bus 66 leaves from Vennepluimstraat, the hotel's own stop, and reaches Station Bijlmer ArenA in about 26 minutes, the one station the Johan Cruijff ArenA, the Ziggo Dome and AFAS Live all share. An Ajax football match, an arena tour, a concert at AFAS Live: you can be back on IJburg before the crowds have cleared Zuidoost, and without paying city-centre rates for the night. Not every room here is a double, either — the Superior twin takes two single beds, and the deluxe triple and quadruple rooms sleep three and four.

  • Johan Cruijff ArenA

    Home of AFC Ajax

Ajax play their home matches here, and the stadium doubles as one of the largest concert venues in the country. A few minutes on foot from Station Bijlmer ArenA.

  • Ziggo Dome

    Indoor arena

The Ziggo Dome stands beside the stadium and hosts international tours all year, indoors and under one roof. Same station, same short walk.

  • AFAS Live

    Concert hall

AFAS Live completes the cluster with a smaller hall for concerts and club nights. All three are within walking distance of each other.

  • Bus 66

    ± 26 min

Bus 66 runs from Vennepluimstraat to Station Bijlmer ArenA without a change, four times an hour during the day. Check GVB for live times.

  • By car

    10–15 min

Over the Benno Premselabrug and round on the ring road. Check the venue's own parking rules before an event — event parking is normally arranged separately.

  • Getting back

    2× per hour

Bus 66 thins out to roughly twice an hour after 20:00, so work out the last leg before the encore.

Journey times and frequencies follow GVB's published timetable and the venues' own information. Both change — check on the day of your event.
